Harvest Sale at Borough Market
Great excitement at Borough Market as children from Southwark primary schools sold their school-grown veg to raise money for FareShare. The Harvest Sale attracted high profile visitors in the form of Deputy Mayor of Southwark, Councillor Mohamed and Blue Peter Gardener, Chris Collins. The children featured on BBC Radio London and on ITV London Tonight and you can catch up on all the coverage here.
The Harvest Sale was a huge hit with the customers and the children managed to raise £193.50 in under two hours! With one enormous pumpkin from Surrey Square Primary, we were able to raise more cash for FareShare with a Guess the Weight competition, with the beast weighing in at 5.63 kilos!
